The ceremonies to celebrate the 9th edition of taxpayer’s Day took place in Bujumbura mayorship at Cercle Hippique, and were honored by the Minister of Finance Audace NIYONZIMA, who represented the President of the Republic in these ceremonies.

said that the town hall of Bujumbura houses the majority of taxpayers. He thanked the Burundian Revenues Office (Office Burundaise des Recettes OBR )of the way in which it sensitizes the population to contribute to the development of the country,trough payment of revenues.
In these ceremonies, were present the different companies, associations, and cooperatives which are the major taxpayers like the company: Fertilisant Organo Mineral Industry FOMI, the different banks like the Banque Communautaire Agricole au Burundi BCAB.
Trough the technology of telecommunications, they were able to show the share of these associations in tax payment.
The FOMI company continues to pay taxes on time. Here, he gives an example where FOMI paid more than 8billion in the year 2023-2024.
So that FOMI can have sufficient foreign currency to be able to work easily, FOMI is building a factory in Bukemba in Rutana province, a factory which will produce fertilizers for export. In his speech, the General Commissioner of the Burundian Revenues Office OBR Jean Claude MANIRAKIZA

He thus gave the statistics for this year 2023-2024 ti mean that words 101% were payed, without forgetting the challenges that taxpayers encountered in their daily activities.
In his speech on the occasion, the Minister of Finance Audace NIYONZIMA who represented the Head of the State said that paying taxes is a noble mission of every citizen, because it allows the country to develop.

The ITRACOM Holding Company received this Thursday, 21th, 2024 a delegation of visitors from Poland. These visitors are managers of two companies of Polish entrepreneurs one is called. I for life, and the chamber of commerce of central Europe. These visitors have started their visits to the headquarters of ITRACOM Holding, a mother company of other subsidiaries including, INKINZO, BCAB, ITRACOM, ITRAPACK and FOMI.
General Manager of ITRACOM HOLDING, Police Major General KABURA Laurent received them and introduced in the summary of the Society. He said that, the society has the function of monitoring of the activities of its subsidiaries and the innovations of new projects.
The head of the polish delegation Pavel Tyla said that the associations they represent generally invest in the agro livestock sector and trade. He further said that these associations that they represent were born after the years of crisis that the country has crossed and the destruction of the berlin Wall, a period in which Poland was a very poor country around thirty years have just passed.
As he continues to say, they therefore grouped together in Agro Pastoral and commercial associations, which allowed Poland to become an Agricultural Power. Pavel Tyla says that they came to Burundi to create a partnership with ITRACOM HOLDING in the Agricultural livestock and commercial fields, especially since they have very advanced technologies in these areas. He also says that their companies can grant credits at very high interest rates low, with the aim of developing African trade.
After visiting to ITRACOM HOLDING, these visitors continued their visit to its subsidiaries starting with the social security institute “INKINZO Insurance” and its departments.

There, the General Director of this insurance Philemon ITANGIGOMBA said that this insurance although it is child recently born, they enjoy their satisfactory customer achievements. The visitors positively appreciate the step taken by this insurance, and promised to connect them with others insurances companies in Poland, with the aim of developing the insurance sector.

Then they headed towards the community and agricultural bank of Burundi BCAB. The managing Director of BCAB Pasteur RUKUNDO who welcomed them showed them the different products and services that the bank offers to its customers composed largely of agricultural credits.
For four years of experience, the general Director of BCAB said that the currently the bank comes in the 6th position among the banks operating in Burundi in customers satisfaction.
The head of the Polish delegation Pavel Tyla greets the managers of this bank and says they will advocate in the Central European chamber of commerce so that there is collaboration between the BCAB and the chamber of commerce, with the aim of granting credits to the bank of low interest rates so that BCAB continues to satisfy its customers.
The visitors continued at ITRACOM in these welcoming remarks to the visitors, the deputy General Director of ITRACOM NIKUZE Thierry Willy, said that previously, the boss of ITRACOM used ITRACOM as Transport Company of fertilizers that he imported abroad like commercial products. However, today the company has become a transport company for many other goods including organic-mineral fertilizers now manufactured by the FOMI Company of this large entrepreneur.

NIKUZE Thierry Willy says that the ITRACOM Company has a very modern garage and occupy a good place in paying taxes in Burundi.
The head of the delegation highly appreciated the work of ITRACOM, and said that since agriculture goes hand in hand with transportation, they are ready to create a partnership between ITRACOM and Polish Companies with the aim of exchange of advanced technologies in agriculture and transport.
After ITRACOM, they visited ITRAPAC, a company with manufactures biodegradable packaging.

The General Director of ITRAPAC Deo Bede MPFUBUSA, after taking a tour of the factory, to see how this packaging is making, says the company has a vision of being an excellent company that manufactures of the delegation said that they are really amazed by the technology used in the manufactures of these packaging. He also invited them to visit Poland to strengthen their companies in the manufacturing of biodegradable.
This Thursday’s visit ended at the FOMI factory.

The General Director of the FOMI Company Simon NTIRAMPEBA first presented two documentaries, one that shows in summary the FOMI Company and the other, which presents a summary of various major visitors who have ahead visited FOMI, since its creator in 2019. After wards, the General Director took them to the factory to show them how organic-mineral fertilizers made. After this visit, the head of delegation of these visitors said in a few words how they appreciated the visit to ITRACOM HOLDING and what they plan to do regarding the partnership between FOMI and the Polish Companies, I FOR LIFE and the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the appreciation of Burundi in General. Especially since, it is the first time that they visit Burundi.
The Burundi is a good country most visited and the visitors from abroad appreciate the beauty of Burundi, its culture, its artisanal, technical and scientific works including the manufacturing of organo-mineral fertilizers made by FOMI Company, The fertilizers made by the FOMI Company. The fertilizers that increased the agricultural production in Burundi and allow the restoration of the soil after its use.
The FOMI Company received visitors from Madagascar and Uganda on October, 2024.

Heritiana says that he came to visit the FOMI COMPANY in order to inquire about the situation of the company with a view to creating a partnership between the FOMI company and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Madagascar, a country whose 85% the population lives from agriculture and livestock breeding. HERITIANA hopes that the collaboration between the FOMI Company and the Ministry of agriculture and Livestock of Madagascar will allow the two countries of BURUNDI and Madagascar to achieve a sustainable development. The second visitor is His Excellency Fred MWESIGYE, the ambassador of Uganda to the United Republic of Tanzania. According to him, the contribution of the FOMI Company in the agricultural field is a capital importance in the development of the country whose pillar fundamental is agriculture. He congratulates the pionner of the idea of establishing an organo mineral fertilizer manufacturing plant and the idea of extending the company to other countries such as Tanzania Uganda and Kenya All these visitors invite the popualations to support this eminent vision in using the organo mineral fertilizer of the company FOMI in their fields, especially since it is already comfirmed that they fullfil the standaeds required in terms of fertilization, restoration of the fertility of the soil and respect of the environment.

Heritiana Hugues RAZAFINDREMOSA dit qu’il est venu visiter la société pour s’enquérir de la situation de la société en vue de créer un partenariat entre la société FOMI et le ministère de l’agriculture et de l’élevage de Madagascar, un pays dont 85 % de la population vit de l’agriculture et de l’élevage.
Heritiana Hugues RAZAFINDRAMOSA espère que la collaboration entre la société FOMI et le Ministère de l’agriculture et de l’élevage de Madagascar permettra aux deux pays le Burundi et le Madagascar à aboutir un développement durable.

Quant à lui, la contribution de la société FOMI dans le domaine agricole a une importance capitale dans le développement du pays dont le pilier fondamental est l’agriculture. Il félicite le promoteur de l’idée d’implantation d’une usine de fabrication des engrais organo- minéraux et son idée d’étendre la société dans les autres pays comme en Tanzanie en Ouganda et au Kenya.
Tous ces visiteurs invitent les populations à soutenir cette noble vision, en utilisant les engrais organo minéraux de la société FOMI dans leurs champs d’autant plus que c’est déjà prouvé qu’ils remplissent toutes les normes exigées en matière de fertilisation de restauration de la fertilité du sol et le respect de l’environnement.
Ce sont des étudiants congolais venus de l’Uvira en RDC à l’université Notre Dame de Tanganyika dans la faculté d’agronomie. Ils se réjouissent de la façon dont ils ont été accueillis par les employés de l’Industrie des Fertilisants Organo-Minéraux FOMI en général et les encadreurs qui les ont suivis pendant la période de stage en particulier.
Ils font savoir qu’ils ont pu visiter l’Usine FOMI et constater comment se fait le mélange des fertilisants organiques et minéraux. Miriam Tirsa, une de ces étudiants, indique que la formation reçue au cours des stages a été bénéfique car elle a appris notamment les doses d’application des engrais organo- minéraux FOMI par culture et les avantages de ces fertilisants. Elle remercie ceux qui ont contribué pour mener à bon port ces stages.
Un autre qui s’est exprimé après la visite, c’est Mukamba Longye Aimable. Il est aussi de la faculté d’Agronomie à l’université Notre Dame de Tanganyika. Il témoigne que le choix de faire les stages à l’usine FOMI n’est pas un fruit du hasard. C’est parce qu’on a entendu que c’est la seule usine dans la région capable de produire des fertilisants organo-minéraux. Et grâce aux engrais FOMI, la production agricole augmente et le sol devient cultivable.’ a-t-il précisé. Mukamba Longye Aimable demande aux autorités congolais de collaborer avec la FOMI afin d’implanter cette usine en RDC et aux responsables de FOMI, de leur accorder d’autres occasions pour apprendre plus sur cette formation.
Vous saurez que l’Industrie des Fertilisants Organo Minéraux FOMI ne cesse d’accorder les stages aux étudiants de l’université du Burundi, des Institutions d’enseignement supérieur privées et des universités de la sous-région. C’est dans le cadre aussi de répondre à l’appel des autorités du pays notamment celui du Chef de l’Etat Son Excellence Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE qui, lors de l’inauguration de l’extension de l’usine FOMI en 2020, a invité les responsables de l’usine à contribuer à la formation des étudiants du domaine.
La participation à cet évènement a permis à la Société FOMI d’exposer ses produits, d’expliquer aux visiteurs leur utilisation rationnelle, de répondre à d’éventuelles questions d’éclaircissement et partant, d’améliorer davantage son image et sa visibilité. Accélérer l’intégration régionale par le développement des chaînes de valeur régionales dans les domaines de l’agriculture résiliente au climat, de l’exploitation minière et du tourisme », tel est le thème du 17ème Forum des opérateurs économiques de haut niveau du COMESA. Rappelons que la spécialité des engrais produits par la société FOMI est de réstaurer la fertilité des sols cultivables suite à l’existance de la matière organique dans ces engrais produits par FOMI
1. Concernant la distribution des engrais organo minéraux de la Société (FOMI) pour la saison culturale 2025 A. Les quantités commandées dans le programme PNSB par type d’engrais sont les suivantes :
a. FOMI Imbura : 46 968 tonnes et 500 kg
b. Urée : 28 952 tonnes et 300 kg
c. FOMI Bagara : 2 263 tonnes et 800 kg
d. La Chaux agricole : 6 319 tonnes,
NB : pour cette saison cultural 2025 A, La société FOMI distribue la chaux agricole dans trois provinces à savoir : la province de Gitega, la Province de Mwaro et celle de Rutana.
La Société FOMI pourra augmenter ces quantités pour répondre aux commandes supplémentaires des demandeurs hors programme PNSEB.
2. Livraison en cours : Actuellement, la Société FOMI s’efforce de livrer les engrais organo minéraux et l’urée dans toutes les zones du pays, en fonction de la disponibilité du carburant de type diesel. Les gouverneurs des provinces sont en train de facilité cette tâche en temps réel.
3. Concernant les Problèmes observé dans la distribution antérieurs, certains agriculteurs n’ont pas perçu les engrais lors de la saison culturale 2024C suite au manque de carburant Diesel. Cependant ces engrais sont déjà acheminés dans les provinces ; le ministère ayant l’agriculture en sa charge a collecté les bons des agriculteurs concernés. Dès que la Société FOMI aura tous les bons de commande, ces engrais seront distribués à tous les demandeurs via bureau provinciaux de l’agriculture de l’Elevage et de l’environnement qui détiennent les informations d’identification des agriculteurs n’ayant pas encore reçu leur engrais.
En date du 27 septembre 2024, le président de la République du Burundi Général Major Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE a visite le chantier de l’usine de fabrication des engrais Organo Minéraux située à Bukemba en Province Rutana.
