During May 2022, representatives from FOMI, researchers from ISABU (Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Burundi), the University of Burundi, and members of the media, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, and Livestock, visited the provinces of Bubanza, Cibitoke, Kayanza, Ngozi, Gitega, Karusi, and Muramvya to assess the condition of fields treated with FOMI’s organo-mineral fertilizers during the 2022B growing season.
They recorded testimonials from farmers and directors of the BPEAE (Bureau for the Protection of Environment, Agriculture, and Livestock) visited, who praised the effectiveness of FOMI’s organo-mineral fertilizers in increasing the expected agricultural yields for the 2022B season and in restoring soil fertility, fauna, and flora.
