Regarding the distribution of organo-mineral fertilizers from the Company (FOMI) for the 2025 A growing season. The quantities ordered under the PNSB program by fertilizer type are as follows:
a. FOMI Imbura: 46,968 tons and 500 kg
b. Urea: 28,952 tons and 300 kg
c. FOMI Bagara: 2,263 tons and 800 kg
d. La Chaux agricole: 6,319 tons
Note: For this 2025 A growing season, FOMI is distributing agricultural lime in three provinces: Gitega, Mwaro, and Rutana.
FOMI may increase these quantities to meet additional orders from applicants outside the PNSB program.
Regarding previous distribution problems, some farmers did not receive fertilizers during the 2024C growing season due to a lack of diesel fuel. However, these fertilizers have already been delivered to the provinces; the Ministry of Agriculture has collected the order forms from the farmers concerned. As soon as FOMI has all the order forms, these fertilizers will be distributed to all applicants through the provincial offices of Agriculture, Livestock, and Environment, which hold the identification information of the farmers who have not yet received their fertilizers.
Ongoing Deliveries: FOMI is currently working to deliver organo-mineral fertilizers and urea to all areas of the country, depending on the availability of diesel fuel. Provincial governors are facilitating this process in real time.
